Counseling Center

GMC Counseling Center is a part of Granger Missionary Church’s ministry to the community.  It is our goal to help people recognize, understand, and address issues in accordance with the Word of God.  The ministry offers a safe, confidential place to discuss personal issues with a licensed marriage and family therapist.

The mission of GMC Counseling Center is to provide professional Christian counseling, at affordable cost, with the goal of promoting emotional, relational and spiritual growth in others.  Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, we disciple and equip people in a confidential and safe environment to assist them in dealing with the complexities of life challenges.

Our nonjudgmental approach reflects our desire to meet you at your point of need.  In a very real way no client is typical.  Each is uniquely made by God, has lived a unique life and presents with unique issues.  We strive to bring relevant, competent, professional, and Biblical counseling to each person God brings to the counseling center.

Confidentiality

The purpose of confidentiality is to provide a safe environment in which a client can discuss problems without fear that personal information will be revealed to others.  All counselor/client communications will be kept confidential, with the following exceptions.  By law, there are three issues that can’t be kept confidential.  A counselor is legally required to report cases of child and elder abuse.  In cases where a client is an imminent suicide risk or is threatening harm to another person, confidentiality is broken.

Vision Statement

GMC Counseling Center believes that each individual is important and has a specific purpose for their life.  We will work with each person to ensure their goals are achieved by evaluating their individual and relational system.  Everyone will be treated with a holistic approach; that is treating the biological, sociological, psychological, and spiritual aspects of their life.

GMC Counseling Center exists for the sole purpose of helping people work through the several difficult issues of life; from addiction to anger management, from grief and loss to childhood issues.  These issues affect not only ourselves but those closest to us: spouse, children, parents, siblings, friends, co-workers, etc. Our focus is giving people the tools needed to better their individual and relational lives.
