GMC Kids

Sunday

Infants (Birth-2 years) 9:00-11:30 a.m.

Ministry Goal:  In the nursery at Granger Missionary Church we want to provide a Christ centered, nurturing environment.  We desire for parents to feel the level of comfort in the nursery necessary for them to worship and minister freely.  We also desire to provide love and security to every baby that God entrusts to us.

Toddlers (2-3 years) 9:00-11:30 a.m.

Ministry Goal:  We want parents to feel comfortable leaving their children in the toddler room with us so that they can worship freely.  We want each child to feel God’s unconditional love from us.  We also want to give them the chance to learn through us and begin laying the foundation of Biblical truth that will take them through their lives.

Pre-School – Elementary  9:00-9:45 a.m.

Ministry Goal: It is the goal of Sunday School to study the Bible and learn how to apply it to our lives.

Promiseland (4 years-2nd grade) 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Ministry Goal:  “The goal of Promiseland is to develop children into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  This means our kids grow up to love God, are actively serving His purposes, and are in the process of growing to honor God in all areas of their lives.”  Our program stresses “The Five G’s”:  Grace, Growth, Group, Gifts, and Good Stewardship in a kid-friendly environment.

Route 23 (3rd-6th grades) 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Ministry Goal:  The goal of Route 23 is to develop children into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  This means our kids grow up to love God, are actively serving His purposes, and are in the process of growing to honor God in all areas of their lives.

Wednesday Nights

”43:19 Family Night“ (every Wednesday night, following the PHM school calendar)

5:45-6:30 – Dinner served ($1/person)
6:45 – 7:45 p.m.

  1. Ages 4 years – 5th grade gather with their parents for a devotion and prayer time. Parents are guided in leading their family in the devotion time.
  2. Guest experts share about a skill or topic
  3. Parents and children have a “shared family experience” around the skill or topic for the night.

Future topics: bugs, treasure hunt, music, photography, art, games, aviation, gross science, etc.

We remain on the same skill or topic for one month. The next month will be a different skill or topic.

Be alert, be present.
I’m about to do something brand-new.
It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is!
I’m making a road through the desert,
rivers in the badlands.
Isaiah 43:19

VBS

Mark your calendars now for CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE CAMP! Coming June 24-26, 2012!

Special Events

Throughout the year, the children can be involved in many events planned specifically for them.

Christmas

The toddlers perform songs during the adult worship service one Sunday in the month of December, and the kindergarten-elementary students put on a musical each year. These are two excellent opportunities for children and families to invite unchurched friends and family members!

Other Opportunities

We frequently have other opportunities for children to engage in outreach and discipleship through GMC!
