About Children’s Ministries
Children’s Ministry Vision
To help children encounter God, accept Jesus as their Savior and live their life for Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Children’s Ministry Core Values
Child Targeted: Our focus should be clear – our goal is to reach children! Activities are age-appropriate and interesting; décor in the classrooms expresses the fact that we treasure children; Bible lessons and songs are relevant and engaging. We want to constantly try to see through our children’s eyes and adapt our program accordingly.
Relevant Teaching: Our goal is to help our children learn life-long lessons from the Bible that they can apply to their lives now. When we make our teaching relevant, we help the kids see that God’s word is written for them and is applicable to their lives.
Creative Teaching: Our goal is to reach all children with all different learning styles, so we vary our methods of presenting the lessons each week. We hope to introduce powerful biblical lessons in such a way that kids will be fascinated and want to learn more.
Intentional Shepherding: Our goal is to model Christ to our children. Those who work with children have the privilege and responsibility of representing Jesus to kids each week, and we take that role very seriously.
Safety: Our goal is to provide an environment where kids feel safe and secure; therefore safety (physically, emotionally, and spiritually) is our top priority.
Exciting: We want children to be excited about church! Our goal is to provide an environment that will keep kids coming back week after week; in the midst of the excitement, we can fulfill our mission to nurture and teach them spiritually. We want, through our children’s ministry, to make their time with us exciting, memorable and spiritual.
